Life Coaches Do THAT?! A YUM Success Story

When you’re an entrepreneur, your business is a huge part of your life; heavily influencing your mood, your satisfaction levels and your overall wellness.

That’s where a Life Coach can help.

A client left a high paying tech job to start a services firm that expressed their core values and talents. Their primary goal was to create a more peaceful lifestyle with more agency over their schedule so that they could spend more time with their family.

We agreed on an initial focus in three areas:
Vision - what exactly did they want to create and why
Energy - how to achieve the vision within a relaxed, intentional space
Mindset - beliefs and patterns that create the opposite of the desired outcome

Some of the issues we tackled together:
> Imposter syndrome
> Saying "no"
> Connecting with their “Why?”
> Identifying the ideal client or project
> Aligning personal and company values
> Charging what you're worth
> Time management
> Challenging limiting beliefs and negative thinking
> Adding self-care to the calendar (and doing it)
> Billing and invoicing fully
> Boundaries with clients
> Goal setting
> Identifying what was behind the “I’m so busy” story
> Developing processes and workflow
> Delegating non-revenue generating tasks
> Replacing negative self-talk

This list look familiar?

There is so much to deal with as an entrepreneur to ensure that your business thrives and that you thrive in the process. I call it sustainable business ownership, and it’s not something we’re taught in school (or at least not when I was in school). Nowhere is it written that we have to twist into knots to make clients happy, be underpaid and be exhausted.

I’m happy to report that this client decided to prioritize their sanity, is raising their prices and has added regular workouts to the calendar. And, after crunching the numbers we realized that they need to bill 2 hours per day to meet the family budget needs; which was exactly the amount of time they had to give. Talk about releasing pressure! I love it when everything aligns.

Thanks to their willingness and hard work, their business if off and running with a clear vision, achievable goals and a more relaxed energy.

Journal Prompts:
What does sanity mean to me?
What stories do I tell myself that interfere with my thriving?
